The central government is planning to give subsidy on electric vehicles on the new year like Uttar Pradesh government.

Along with the general public, the government is also worried about the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country.

Earlier, the Delhi government and the Uttar Pradesh government have announced subsidy on the purchase of electric vehicles.

Sometime back, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had also announced that the price of electric vehicles would be the same as that of petrol vehicles.

Nitin Gadkari also informed that 250 start-up businesses are engaged in manufacturing electric vehicles.

The government has also announced to make charging points, so that people with electric vehicles do not have to worry about charging.
