Republic Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in schools, colleges and other educational institutions in India.

The constitution of our country came into force on 26 January 1950, on this day India was declared a full republic, so we celebrate this day as Republic Day.

The Constitution of India was drafted by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and it took 2 years, 11 months and 18 days to make it.

The first Republic Day was celebrated on 26 January 1950, this is the day when Indians started saying that we have our own constitution and laws.

A grand Republic Day parade takes place at Delhi's Rajpath, which showcases the military and cultural diversity of our country.
